Dave Goldberg latest project along with long time friend and guitarist Duane Allen, has him going in a different direction once again, this time under the band name Trio Eclectic. Having done many totally improvised concerts over the years with this group, it was time to take this concept into the studio. The result is 10 completely different sketches that are explored, each one invoking colors from a different genre of music, but still rooted in jazz. This concept wasn't lost on Scott Yanow as he describes their new band..."Trio Eclectic provides a consistently intriguing, diverse and colorful yet surprisingly accessible set of inventive jazz."

Following up on Trio Ecletic's debut release, will be a new recording to be released in 2018, featuring all new material. While never leaving his traditional roots behind, Dave Goldberg is looking forward to pushing the boundaries with his own straight-ahead jazz groups as well as Trio Eclectic in 2018 and beyond.
